You can apply via the NSDL (Protean) or UTIITSL websites. The process is the same for both.
Visit the Portal: Go to the NSDL Online PAN Application or UTIITSL.
Select Application Type: Choose "New PAN - Indian Citizen (Form 49A)".
Select Category:
For Partnerships, choose "Firm".
For Companies, choose "Company".
For LLPs, choose "Limited Liability Partnership".
Do not choose "Individual" unless you are applying for your own personal PAN.
Fill in Details:
Name: Enter the firm/company name exactly as written on the registration deed.
Date of Incorporation: Enter the date on your registration certificate/deed.
AO Code: You can search for your "Assessing Officer (AO) Code" on the website based on your city and business type.
Upload Documents: Upload the scanned copy of your Deed or Registration Certificate.
Authentication:
The form must be digitally signed (using a Class 2 or Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate - DSC) for Companies and LLPs.
